Opposite Day

I feel like today was opposite day.  I was told to work, I didn't want to.  I knew I needed to go to the gym, nope...didn't want to do that either.  Eat healthy? nahhhh.  I didn't want to do any of that.  But I did, because that is what you do when you are an adult.  You do things you don't want to do.

But what I do want to do is celebrate the Olympics this Friday and take more pictures.  I used to be so good about taking pictures.  I need to get back into that and then print them.  I look around my house and I have no framed pictures of my friends.  If Preston and I were to disappear and they had to look at our house for clues they would think we have 1 cat, 1 daughter, and 1 son.  Which is really 1 cat (that's a true picture problem), my niece and my nephew.  I want pictures of all the fun stuff we do with people.

Ugh, I have nothing else to say.  See...I don't even want to write.  Opposite day fo sho.

I love writing, but hate when all I have to write about is boring stuff.  Stuff like, "I ate at Angry Dog this weekend and then on Sunday I played a round of Putt-Putt!"  That's not exciting.  And I'm certainly not going to bleed my soul of inner most thoughts on here.  Dude...that is what my diary is for, duh.

So instead I'm in a blog dry spell.  With nothing to say.  I have some designs, but will wait until they play out before I spill my soul.  But I'm posting this so I feel like I posted a blog entry.

Please Hurry Up Fall!

it is only July 1st and I already want it to be October.  I really really love the fall.  I love the colors, the weather, smells, food, clothes all of it.  I want it now!  Today I just couldn't take it anymore.  I have cooked up a batch of tomato basil soup.  I have always been a strong believer in you can't have soup when it is hot outside, gross!  The temperature right now is 93 degrees outside, which really isn't that bad.  Especially since it has been in the triple digits lately.  But I'm hoping by making soup I can make myself think it is October.  Here is a picture of my simmering soup and the recipe if you would also like to try to trick yourself.
